How can I care for my jewelry?
STORAGE
Natural stones and precious metals are known for their resilience. But maintaining their quality and integrity is essential to extending their lifetime. When not wearing your jewelry, we recommend storing each individual piece in a soft pouch or box to prevent it from scratching or tarnishing.
CLEANING
Clients are often stunned at how quickly a cleaning can improve the shine and sparkle of their fine jewelry. A professional cleaning is recommended at least once per year. More regular cleaning and maintenance is recommended for clients who are active or do not remove their jewelry often. We recommend taking your fine jewelry to a local jeweler for professional cleaning services. A variety of at-home cleaning products are also sufficient for regular maintenance.
GENERAL CARE
Over time, natural body oils, soaps, lotions and fragrances can alter or damage the quality of fine jewelry. Always remove jewelry before bathing and applying products to the skin. If you are sensitive or allergic to metals, hypoallergenic options are available in platinum. Reputable jewelry retailers are able to tighten diamond and gemstone settings as necessary. In addition, white gold may need rhodium plating, as its luster tends to dull over time.
